I'm just here representing the international team that has joined forces to create a game, very similar to the one we all love and (sometimes still) play -> Babo.
I say international, because this time around this is not just an EU community effort. NA and SA community are big strong and willing to join forces so that we can all accomplish this.

It comes as no surprise to say that Babo is sadly dying. It has been coming for some time now, and it's not going to get better. But for all of you that loved babo, whether because of the community or the gameplay, here is a chance to do something about it!

Our goal: to create a game, inspired from Babo, that will play similarly but make it bigger, better and bloodier!
Of course, this will be no easy task, and we are well aware of it, which is why I'm here.

If any of you have any ideas on how to make Babo a better game that we could implement, that would help a great deal! Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.

Make it easier to cast votes - most people don't know how to use the console.

Some more suggestions
1) Free hp after 10 kill streak
2) Change voting system based on amount of people who have voted i.e. those don't vote will not be counted as a "no"
3) Friendly fire tdm gamemode
4) A "medic" babo of some sort

Moon, your comments is unacceptable!

1) plant hidden landmines... it could go off within a certain time, or if you are killed
2) When 10 streak kill has been reached, for a couple of seconds you have double kill
3) Medic...really? this is war, kill them newbs
4) Teleportation, for example... secondary action with cooldown obviously! one can teleport swiftly for cover/behind walls/ or into flames xD
5) a "pirate hook" weapon, step 1: shoot/hook enemy, auto retracts enemy (if enemy is close the "hook" release), step 2: knife him, step 3: say ty when he said wd
6) Flame (tm) this one = "freeze nade" if nade exploded on/near enemy he is slowed down for a certain amount of time
7) Only applies for CTF - make a auto "mirror" map, that randomly mirrors itself, for example... Ball1 has red flag he rolls towards blue flag post... suddenly map mirrors itself and sadly he is back at his own base xD, to once again fight his way through endless battles to score...

What you think of the "mirror" map system? Think that and mines and freeze nade is pretty awesome!!!

Not to sound funny but how about 1st working on current features/glitches like allowing public vote for KOTH and that format where u get a random weapon with every spawn? Fixing map glitches where flames are not visible, games get stuck on 1 map until a different map is specifically voted for.
Game type TDM to have an B option where ppl can choose teams like in clan server.
Instead of health every 1/x times a "booster" is rather given where yr gun deals more dmg for a short time, cld be it pops up if u get a 5th consecutive kill for example and u get a little health with the increase in weapon dmg. Ppl will be tempted to Rambo which cld get u killed faster as well but will help stop these camping games. Also risk the other teams getting the dropped hp/dmg instead so myt be a strat for a team pinned down outnumbered to counter.
Vote by players to put hackers etc in spec for 5min or til admin intervenes. Bans for any true breaks in roe and bans for players abusing the vote options unjustly.
A change in sound tracks pleeeease. I love LoG but jeez, 3yrs of that same tune

Like the dgm booster cld also have increased speed, resistance to dmg.
Different levels of hp, STD HP for kills and lower HP for those map-placed HPs that refresh.
Random grenade mods that drop sometimes for increased throw, blast radius, multiple nades scatter etc
Reduce dmg or dmg rate of Molotov pleeeease! Noobs be having field day!
Guns: zoom self-det to hav smaller dmg radius or less dmg but same shakey-shakey effect radius.
Shotgun centre bullets to carry most dmg so accurate medium/long range shots do SOME dmg.
Photon removed from option list once u hand in your noob badge =P *cough* certain admin *cough*

Names to allow more characters so can put more complex colour schemes. More colour options coz Dark was wanting his name in silver and pink (sparkles a bonus). Wants his Babo the same to incorporate a certain goal keepers tactic of distracting an attacker with bright colours, that's his excuse anyways.

That game I mentioned on these forums b4 with 1 teammate on bench, spawns the instant a teammate dies. Lots of tactic in that game type.
Done thinking, cheers. Good luck with development. Any indication of when u want to have it completed?

Thanx for the feedback! At the moment we are still deciding on most of the core elements and making a solid plan before we begin (Although programming has started a bit). So no estimated time of completion yet... Will keep you up to date Smile

Flame, u forgot to mention the moving walls Razz

It seems like we are heading towards rewards from kill streaks, we should work on ideas for those rewards.
It could be something like this:
3 kills: small hp
5 kills: small hp + nade
7 kills: normal hp + nade + extra damage 10 sec
10 kills: norm hp + 2x ice nade? + extra damage 15 sec
etc

Grenades cld include ice nade where a patch of ground where it lands turns to ice for a time, making dodging capabilities hard for opposition.
Giving us some control of distance the nade travels.
Make maps slightly more dynamic by having gradients. ^^^uphill areas nades travel shorter distance, Babo travels slower but change in direction (dodging) improves. Downhill nades travel further, Babo goes faster but the degree of direction change lessens.
Being able to turn Nuke off once activated (perhaps each time cancelled it adds a delay so e.g. 5th time cancelled has a 2sec delay from pressing space bar so player needs to cancel more than 2sec b4 detonation). This will stop players from just pressing it all the time to make opposition scatter. The nuke at the mo is practically useless in competitive matches.
Have an auto screen shot capability (option in menu) which saves an image file to the folder automatically if u get a certain kill streak etc
U guys gonna be writing code forever!

Have various marks on the Babos of players who have most kills, most dmg, best kill/death ratio, player on kill streak etc so we know who to target/run from :-D

Okey tried to log in for a while now but cannot remember my password and cannot retrieve it for some reason...

Let me know if there will be any updates to the existing babo!

Anyhows can think of one thing that would make babo 10x better... make photon stronger. The fact that it takes 5mili seconds to one shot people is totally unfair to the poor photon who has spent 5 minutes of learning how to perfect this majestic weapon.

As for your server idea spen.... you know... I don't think my boss would be too ecstatic about the idea bounce .
