Can mods be added?

Can custom mods be made for the game? something like one player is chosen to be on the red team and he must turn everyone to red team by only having e.g. a sniper rifle or knives?

If we could do this it would really help gain population

At the moment mods are restricted to those who understand how the game works internally and also because development on the game itself has stoppped.

It is however possible if you the knowledge and know-how to create a mod. Although they have limited capabilities they could be used to gain population as we saw in 2008-2010 where Aprone created several mods that he then ran on his own servers.

If have decent programming knowledge I think it is certainly possible to make your own mod.
